Exclusive: Amaechi Favourite To Partner Buhari For 2015 Presidential Poll

Exclusive: Amaechi Favourite To Partner Buhari For 2015 Presidential Poll

Baring any last minute change of plans, the leadership of the All Progressive Congress will announce Rivers State Governor, Governor Rotimi Amaechi, as the running mate to General Muhammadu Buhari this weekend.

Governor Amaechi has always been on top of the list ever since it became clear that General Buhari will be lead the APC in the fight to wrestle power from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party. He is the peoples' choice, according to a recent poll undertaken by SAHARA REPORTERS.

For a couple of days now, there has been tense media speculation and scrutiny with regard to who to be the running mate of Buhari. Various names were mentioned as possible candidates: Oshiomhole, and yesterday, Prof. Osibanjo. The underlining words, in reaction to these names, have been: disaster, disappointment, APC has failed, etc.

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress are very much inclined to listening to the popular opinions of the masses and as a result, this has further made them backpedal to adopting Governor Amaechi as Buhari's running mate.

The choice of who to run with Buhari has always fallen to the Governors to decide. In a recent agreement among the party leaders, a decision was reached to make a serving governor of the party the running mate to Buhari. This further led to narrowing their choices to Oshiomhole and Amaechi; however, it is becoming glaring now that Governor Amaechi has finally gotten the nod above the rest.

*I also believe that cooking should be an art/hobby ; one which women should be adept in. That way, we do not look at it as a chore, something to beguile him with or hold it against him.

*A lady should know a relationship that is worth slicing vegetable and onions for (i.e) don't go cooking for every random dude.

*There should be a limit to everything- this isn't an exception. Don't go over-playing the "wife role" and end up with the short end of the stick.

*If he doesn't want/appreciate it -don't do it.

Good Food is The Way to A Man's Heart: I grew up hearing this from ...

Time Unveils 'Person Of The Year': Ebola Fighters Clinch Award

Foday Gallah saw the sick child was distressed and felt he had to do something. So he picked the kid up to comfort him.

And with that act of kindness, the 37-year-old ambulance supervisor in Monrovia, Liberia, contracted Ebola himself.

"Of course, he got vomit all over him and that's how he got Ebola," said photographer Jackie Nickerson, who shot Gallah's image for Time's "Person of the Year" magazine cover, which honours those on the front line of the Ebola epidemic.

They're "the ones who answered the call," the magazine said on its website Wednesday morning.
